Vocational Case Manager (EBCAP0466)

East Bay Community Action Program (EBCAP) is seeking a full time Vocational Case Manager (AKA Community Treatment Specialist) for our Assertive Community Treatment Team (ACT) to support behavioral health clients at our 2 Old County Road Barrington site who are seeking successful recovery by obtaining and maintaining employment opportunities. The successful candidate will promote our Health Home clients' ability to function independently, improve the quality of their lives, and improve their ability to access other supportive services within EBCAP and the community.
The Community Treatment Specialist will research and apply vocational benefit programs to appropriate clients including, but not limited to: "carving in" and "carving out" of jobs, work-readiness programs, performing task analysis, applying for On the Job (OTJ) Training benefits through the RI Department of Labor, Workforce Investment Act (WIA) trainings, and locating internship and externships for both Supported and Non-Supported clients. He/she Track job leads and referrals; assist clients in developing a resume and/or completing applications, and verbally representing themselves to prospective employers. Also, provide on-going support to assist clients in maintaining employment.
The position requires a Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field (Psychology, Social Work, Rehabilitation Counseling, etc.) and one year of previous Human Services experience is preferred. The schedule for this position is as follows:
Monday through Friday; typically 8:00 AM ? 4:30 PM, with one day per week working 10:00 AM ? 6:30 PM.
Participate in periodic rotation of Saturday hours, resulting in a day off during the week
Participate in a holiday rotation by working 1 ? 2 holidays per year, resulting in holiday pay and holiday premium pay
Bilingual Portuguese preferred, however, not required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
